CRAU background: In Purgatorium
tl;dr version: Citrine was brought into Purg at near-death, assuming she had died and landed in hell due to the nature of the place. Since she was stuck, she learned to deal with making a new life for herself. My interpretation of her personality is still mostly based on her dialogue and her actions in the available source materials but by pulling her straight from Purg, she now has some added memories and a bit of personal character growth meaning:
  • She is familiar with the concept of different characters coming together from different realities and is quicker to accept weird phenomena that would have been completely inconceivable before.
  • She has formed a few friendships and experienced caring about and losing a person dear to her, which did not happen in canon, making her a bit less frigid now. Since that was a plot point for her in Purg I like to keep that development in. In my eyes it's also a good parallel to what she could have developed with Nigredo in canon if she'd had the time to.
In general, she has softened a bit over her time in Purg in that being away from her original mission has given her duty-filled mind a bit more leeway to think about living outside of a predestined purpose. It's not enough of a change to affect interaction with canon-mates, though.

As for recognizing characters from other canons, there are only a handful of people she cared enough about to remember... And she would not say anything about it due to the fact that Purg already had different versions of people come and go. It's "normal" to her at this point, so she will see and treat them as new people even if she might have known a previous version somewhere else. (unless requested by and plotted out with the respective player /stares at Ed...)

*The only exception here is Graham Aker from Gundam 00. While she would also not really say anything about it (to avoid complicating things both IC and OOC), she would definitely have some feelings about it should he ever appear or be mentioned due to their history in Purg... and I prefer to keep that as the cornerstone of her beginning emotional growth, even if just in vague allusions.

Major events in Purgatorium:
▻ nightmare week in which she was first faced with a manifestation of her inner fear (admission of weakness)
▻ meeting and growing close to Graham Aker, making him her most trusted comrade (friendship)
▻ working as part of an organization and eventually ending up as the one in charge of it (a new purpose)
▻ snowball "deathmatches" with Ed (a first step towards "having fun")

None of these events have fundamentally changed anything about Citrine. Rather, they have added nuance to her by putting her into situations where her strengths and weaknesses are emphasized.

abilities: in-depth info here
Citrine is a designer baby created to fight a god-like entity. She has the special ability to manipulate "waveforms" meaning she can:
→ interfere with or disable machinery
→ change the structure of certain items (melting pieces of metals in her hand for example) and
→ use her own waveform to create small shockwaves for a knockback effect
Apart from that, she has enhanced strength and can use a variety of firearms.

strengths:
DUTIFUL → For the most part, her duty is what defines her. The prime example of this is the mission her father gives her: to monitor one of her brothers and eliminate him if necessary. She shows no remorse for her actions until the very end, where she has a moment of actually allowing herself to question her existence. Still, her sense of duty is a key component to her personality. ("Our mission is to destroy U-DO. It doesn't matter what happens to the universe as long as we accomplish that.")

RESILIENT → Citrine is someone who doesn't like to back down and won't unless she absolutely has to. Being created as a bio-weapon and serving in a military faction, she can handle high levels of mental stress while also being able to endure more extreme physical stress due to her genetic make up.

LOYAL → This goes hand in hand with her sense of duty. She was extremely loyal to her father and his faction, willing to sacrifice her life if necessary. Even before that, she shows absolute loyalty to her brother Nigredo as she protects him during their deployment in the Miltian Conflict, risking injury and potential death. She puts a strong emphasis on those she considers her "comrades", making her brother Rubedo's abandonment when they were kids all the worse. ("You betrayed your comrades, you killed your brother... Why are you still alive?")

COOL-HEADED → Her humor comes in the flavor of sadistic dark and deadpan snark. Due to her self-confidence (re: arrogance) she manages to keep a cool head most of the time and instead likes to make morbid jokes in dark times to keep an air of superiority. ("Oh, you want me to step on you, too?")

weaknesses:
ARROGANT → If her sense of duty is a key strength, her arrogance is a key weakness. From an early age, she maintains a superiority complex ("Unlike you male types, we have only nine female types remaining. It's a shame, because theoretically, we are superior.") although I would argue that it's a mix of narcissism and an actual defense mechanism against her past as she ended up being the only surviving female URTV with the others deemed as failures. Still, this can make her unpleasant.

FRIGID → Citrine likes to pretend she has no emotions and tends to stay with hard facts. This is largely due to her upbringing, which taught her to value cold, analytical thinking over emotional sensitivity ("even if we were to lose control of our waveforms and die, we wouldn't have the luxury of complaining about it") but also stems from trying to gloss over her personal fears of failure and abandonment. This can complicate interaction with others since she seems so aloof and uncaring.

RESTLESS → Being a very duty-driven person, having nothing to do is the absolute worst for her. She gets angry and frustrated easily when she is without purpose. To some, this can be bothersome since she can never "relax and take a break".

PROUD → This goes in hand with her arrogance and partially with her restlessness. Seeing herself as the best out of all URTV units, she takes pride in everything she is and does. This can be a blessing when her pride is the reason for her resilience but it can be a curse when it gets in the way of asking for help, accepting failure or simply letting something go. Her pride was a big part of her defeat in her final mission since it caused her to over-use her powers ("I refuse. I refuse to accept this!”).
