If an existence's sole purpose is to serve as anti-existence to another existence, would the elimination of one existence also be the end of the other? If there is nothing to be the anti- of, after achieving the goal of eliminiation, what will be left?

Yes. It's always possible to change. To rise above.

I have seen you posting on the network a lot. About your powers. Are you planning to 'rise above' as well?

[identity profile] citrinitas-668.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
Interesting. I do hope things will become less bland in the near future, then.

[identity profile] ttlymostspecial.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
Certainly. I'm Sylar. And you are?

[identity profile] citrinitas-668.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
I usually go by Citrine although my official identification is URTV #668.

Interesting. Do you plan on rising above, or was your question hypothetical?

[identity profile] citrinitas-668.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
A bit of both, I suppose. I'm looking for new ways to spend time in this boring hell hole as I have started to accept that I won't be getting out of here any time soon.

[identity profile] ttlymostspecial.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
I can't fault you for that. You're one of the ones who jumped off the clock tower, right?

[identity profile] citrinitas-668.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't realize committing suicide for the fun of it would make me famous.

[identity profile] ttlymostspecial.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Eh, I spend a lot of time on the network when I'm bored. How did that work out for you? Were you entertained?

[identity profile] citrinitas-668.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Not really. Though it was an interesting reminder of my first and real death. I still haven't found out whether I won the race or not. I would like to see my winning money soon.

[identity profile] ttlymostspecial.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
I've never died before--- that I can remember, I guess I could have the first time I was here--- but I came close on several occasions in my own world.

It seems kind of silly to bet on something like that. Unless you were all in different positions when you jumped, you would've landed at the same time.

[identity profile] citrinitas-668.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
Dying isn't all that exciting. Especially here, when you just come back as if nothing happened.

We weren't really betting on who hit the ground first. It was to see who would revive first, although that might be the same as well. I'm just curious how things work here.

[identity profile] ttlymostspecial.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
It seems that way. Kind of takes the thrill out of the whole thing.

Aha. There doesn't seem to be any real pattern or structure. Chaos theory. Although to be fair, there are patterns in chaos.

[identity profile] citrinitas-668.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
I still don't understand why anyone mourns when someone 'dies' here. It isn't necessary.

Chaos. It would be interesting to see just how Purgatorium works. There seem to be a lot of strange things around and yet no one really cares to notice. I wonder why.

[identity profile] ttlymostspecial.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
There could be a chance that the time they die is the last time. Not very likely, but still a chance. Although even then, they'll probably show up again sooner or later.

One of my powers is to see how things work. I've only had them back for a brief time, but I have yet to discern anything.

[identity profile] citrinitas-668.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
I can understand mourning when they don't return, but if that is the only reason people mourn they might as well wait their three days and see if things go back to normal and then start to worry, if their beloved ones haven't revived by then. You'd think people had that much common sense if nothing else.

Really. That is... a very interesting power.

[identity profile] ttlymostspecial.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
You have a point. But people in general tend to be frantic. Stupid.

Really. It is.

[identity profile] citrinitas-668.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
You have no idea how pleased I am to see someone agreeing with me on this.

I'm intrigued.

[identity profile] galacticboss.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
How things work?

Such as the world?

[identity profile] galacticboss.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
Good, good.

There is no place to conduct research here; no stories of the beginning, no statues, no fossils, no mountains. Another way has to be found. Even power is limited; a new source for a new world, of course. It cannot be allowed to exist in this broken state. No, intervention must be made.
